Dries Van Noten: Inspirations
Dries Van Noten: Inspirations exhibition in Musee Les Arts Decoratifs of Paris, is a journey through the mind of Belgian designer, one of the creative Antwerp Six.
This is the best fashion exhibition I witnessed so far…so exciting that I felt I could cry. It was like dreaming with eyes wide open, in a fashion history wonderland. The melting pot of vintage dresses, art pieces, installations and Dries Van Noten collections makes the visitor realize that fashion has never been a reality on its own…but it has always been part of a collective beauty, taking inspiration from everything a mind can think of. Thank you Dries Van Noten for this experience.
The book is sold everywhere in Paris but unfortunately no english version was available. In any case, going through it, I felt a little disappointed. I believe it could have been designed better to make those who miss the exhibition, feel the atmosphere..and also as always it is too expensive...
