Helmut Newton, one of the most influential fashion photographers of all times, apart of his provocative and visionary work he also invented a “Do it yourself” machine to see how the models would photograph themselves if they had the total control in their hands. Models said it was too much to handle, but don’t you think that he may have foreseen instagram already in 1972?

All this is in his Autobiography, published by Contrasto in 2004 and photographed from my balcony looking at the Marais where also Helmut Newton lived.
